The artefacts and this research adopts a qualitative, inductive, practice-based methodology structured through the Double Diamond framework.
Primary data will be collected through semi-structured interviews with stakeholders across the visual art ecosystem and triangulated against legislation, policy documents, academic literature, industry evidence, and iterative prototype evaluation.
Interview data will be systematically analysed using Braun and Clarke's six-phase thematic analysis, with emerging findings informing subsequent inquiry and refinement of the Provena research artefact.
Academic rigour is strengthened through methodological triangulation, transparent documentation of research decisions, reflexive practice, and stakeholder validation, while actively allowing contradictory evidence to challenge the researcher's assumptions and the proposed platform itself.
